SeenLayer ("we", "us") is operated by Cantueso Corp. This page explains what data we collect when you use seenlayer.com or the SeenLayer dashboard, why we collect it, and who else sees it. Written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email info@seenlayer.com and we'll clarify.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) | To create and secure your account |
| The domain(s) you add to monitor | To know what to scan |
| Public content of your site: page URLs, image and video URLs, page titles | To generate your Visibility Score and the citable alt text / Schema.org layer |
| Billing status and plan (via Stripe) | To activate the correct plan on your account |
We never see or store your payment card details. Checkout happens entirely on Stripe's own systems; SeenLayer only receives a confirmation that a subscription is active, plus a customer ID used to manage it.
To do the actual work (writing alt text, analyzing video, checking AI citations), we send parts of your site's public content to these processors. None of them use your data to train their models:
| Processor | What they receive | Their data policy (paid tier we use) |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini API) | Public image/video URLs and page titles from your monitored site | Not used for model training; processed under Google Cloud's Data Processing Addendum |
| Perplexity (Sonar API) | Target search queries generated for your tagged assets | Zero data retention — deleted immediately after each request, never used for training |
| Stripe | Payment and billing information | PCI-compliant payment processor; SeenLayer never receives raw card data |
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone beyond the processors above, except if required by law.
We keep your account and scan history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your stored data within 30 days, except records we're legally required to retain (e.g. billing records).
We use exactly one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in (httponly, secure, sent only over HTTPS). It's functional, not tracking — it carries no advertising ID and isn't shared with anyone.
We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking script on seenlayer.com or in the dashboard. No Google Analytics, no ad retargeting, no session recording. If that changes, we'll update this section first.
To exercise any of these, email info@seenlayer.com.
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt), never stored in plain text. API access to your site's data uses a private key unique to that site. Payment processing is delegated entirely to Stripe.
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify active accounts by email.
